Usher Syndrome Type 1C

Usher Syndrome has 12 different types, which vary in degrees of severity. The most severe type of Usher Syndrome is Type 1, with specific characteristics such as profound hearing loss at birth, varying degrees of vestibular problems, accompanied by vision loss starting with night vision loss around adolescence. The C strand of Type 1 is the French Acadian strand of Usher Syndrome.
